Symposium Environmental crime
The KNM symposium on environmental crime was held on 30 September. In the new Aurora building of the Wageningen University, presentations were given about, among other things, what environmental crime is and who is responsible for it.

General Members Meeting KNM
The general members’ meeting of The Wageningen Environmental Studies Alumni Association (KNM) took place on Monday 27th of May. Among other things, the financial annual report of 2021 was approved and a vote was taken on the addition of Melvin Faber to the board as 4th member. The minutes of the GMM will soon be available on the website.

Movie Dark Waters canceled
The Wageningen Environmental Studies Alumni Association (KNM) has decided to cancel the movie night. The film has been out for almost 3 years now and we assume that the people who wanted to see the film have already seen it.
Of course we will do our best to organize another fun activities instead. So keep an eye on the website!

Movie Dark Waters postponed
The Wageningen Environmental Studies Alumni Association (KNM) has decided not to let the film meeting take place in view of the current corona situation and the professional background of our members, whose employers have issued an explicit request to work from home and not to attend too many or even external meetings.
We will review the situation again early next year with Movie W.
For those who have already signed up, Movie W will contact you by email.

Activities November
Also this month KNM organizes activities. November 11th there will be a webinar about innovative monitoring techniques in aquatic areas and 2 weeks later KNM will show the film Dark Waters, in collaboration with Movie W, on the PFAS problems with DuPont in America.

With many people in the Netherlands being vaccinated and more possibilities to organize activities, the board and activity committee have become more actively again.
Recently we organized two interesting webinars on microplastics and on pesticides in soils. Later this year, two or three more activities will be organized. Keep track off the website to not miss out on these activities.

Due to the Covid-19 measures, the activities of Kennisnetwerk Milieu have been postponed. As soon as there is a possibility to organize activities within the Corona measures of the government we will announce these again on our website.
